Award winning Documentary Film Producer/Director Pamela Pulice is spreading the LOVE once again ... this time teaming up with her friend; Oak Park, IL "Dooper" and Rock and Roll Icon Joe Cantafio (who appears in the film,) to present "Dick Biondi ~ The Voice That Rocked America" on the Silver Screen at Oak Park's LAKE THEATER on Tuesday, November 17th. Doors open at 6:00 PM.

Before the film is shown, Cantafio will be talking about his friend, Dick Biondi, telling stories and performing a few songs.

Joe is a graduate of Oak Park and River Forest High School (Class of ’73,) and was inducted into the schools “Tradition of Excellence (Hall of Fame) in 2008.

At the age of 22, Cantafio became the music director of “Dick Clark’s Good Ol’ Rock and Roll Show,” and performed on stage with Rock and Roll pioneers Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bo Diddley, The Shirelles, Del Shannon, Little Anthony, Johnny Rivers and The Drifters, to name a few. Cantafio also worked as music director with “Wolfman Jack’s Rock and Roll Show” that featured Dion, Tommy James, Bo Diddley, and The Crystals.

His voice has been heard on hundreds of TV and Radio commercials, singing the praises of products from McDonalds and Betty Crocker to Chilli’s and Shasta Cola.

In 2002 Cantafio and Biondi teamed up to support the FDNY Firefighters of Engine Company 55 in a huge radio-thon, where together they raised over $50,000 for the families of the fallen New York Firefighters. Biondi was presented a fire helmet from the FDNY firehouse.

In 2004 Cantafio and Biondi teamed up again for Chicago area military veterans serving their country in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dick Biondi asked his listeners who had loved-ones serving in the Middle East to write letters to their loved ones, and send them to him. Biondi sent those letters to Cantafio who delivered them by hand when he and his band performed for the month of February ’04 on US Bases throughout the war torn region. Every letter was hand delivered.

The night before Cantafio headed to Iraq, Biondi called him and said, “…when you get over there … DUCK!
